Cobb), and you may a good scuffling celebrity (Evelyn Keyes) whose cousin (Nina Foch) spent some time working in the gambling enterprise and you will dated good corrupt detective (Jim Bannon). Whilst area comes after a familiar trend, the newest characterizations is new while the performances adequate to help you overbalance. Its mainly an issue of enjoying Mr. Powell read his paces fashionably while you are a large cast off actors and you can actresses promote him traditional support. Evelyn Keyes takes on the great absolutely nothing lady who brings about brand new best in your and you may Ellen Received is the smooth and slinky vixen just who will get him towards jams. Thomas Gomez is greasy because the villain and you can Lee J. Cobb does a new able journey because an exhausted cops inspector which ultimately shuts the outcome. A great deal of ingesting and you can puffing is carried out of the all of the alarmed.“ [ a dozen ]
